libitunesdb

What is it?

libitunesdb is a library designed to make it easy to access the songs and playlists stored on an iPod. It can optionally use HAL to discover where your iPod is plugged.

libitunesdb was originally based on gtkpod iTunesDB parsing code.

How to use it?

The library depends on glib 2.0 and gnome-vfs 2.6 and optionally on HAL. The API doc contains a few usage examples. You can also have a look at pody for some examples of use in a real app.
